Big Apple bound

I and the missus are off the the Big Apple for the weekend for our tenth wedding anniversary. It's our first visit to New York. We're taking an Amtrak train (having hired a sleeper cabin) which leaves tonight at 1 AM. The kids, who I miss already, are with their grandparents this weekend--bless their hearts, they who have forgotten the "I need a hug" ploys associated with threeyearolddom. I hope they're still speaking to us when we return home, at least enough to buy them dinner as a thankyou.

So! No blogging this weekend naturally, but I hope to have time to write a bit come Tuesday night when I return.

Have a good weekend all!

HA! enjoy yourselves... and, without the kiddies, that is exactly what you SHOULD be doing.... enjoy, children...

Congrats on 10 years...that's wonderful! Keep taking the time to remember why it started in the first place...

I enjoy reading your thoughts and am looking forward to going to New York for my first time in August to support President Bush!

Thanks Barbara for the kind wishes! I've got a great little family and I do know how lucky I am.

Glad to hear of your plans in support of our Commander in Chief. And we truly enjoyed our trip to New York immensely and scarcely wanted to come home at the end of the trip; be sure you have time to enjoy the city itself in addition to your political activities.

I haven't had the chance to come back to another Council meeting since the one at which we met; perhaps if you have a chance you could give me an update on the latest goings-on regarding the Lathrop House negotiations (either here or by email), and if anything else exciting is coming up soon which I'd be sorry to miss.

Thanks for coming by here!

So I had no sooner posted the above inquiry about Lathrop House than my better half told me: "Oh, it was already moved. Hadn't you heard?"

To which I replied: doh!

I'm out of town on work again this week, but finally this weekend I should have time to get a couple of notes up about the New York trip, gas prices, and whatever else tickles my fancy by then.

Have a great couple of days all!
